but now I am seriously considering it for Lexi. Anyone else have dogs that totally freak out in the storms? I feel like she is going to have a heart attack!
Tonight has been CRAZY in Dallas! I heard about tornado's on the way in to work in the morning and considered coming home early so Lexi didn't have to face them on her own. Luckily the storms held off till later, but she has not left my side since I got home. Here is a little re-cap of our night.
Tim is out of town, so I had to be responsible. Luckily he 'organized' the garage a few weeks ago, which helped with my job tonight. With a little re-arranging I was able to fit my car in the Garage. What was I thinking when I said the boat would fit in there?
We brought the boat home from the lake a few weeks ago, and obviously it does not fit in the garage. Since it has rained almost every day, I have the morning duty of dumping the water off of the cover. Lets hope the Hail doesn't bust through the cover tonight! I talked to my dad (the boat pro) earlier and he told me the boat would handle it much better than the car. Hopefully a tornado does not come and take it away!
The real question is why was I outside taking this picture???
I thought that if we ran into any real problems I should have a shelter prepared. The master bathroom has windows, so I set up camp in 'Barry's Bathroom'. (yes, we still refer to our rooms and bathrooms by the roommate that occupied them before I moved in) Here is where Lex and I will spend the night... blankets, pillows & water!
My thoughts and prayers go out to all of the people in Tuscaloosa, Joplin, Oklahoma and everywhere else that has seen devastation this past month. I pray that DFW does not join that list tonight. Everyone be safe! Build a shelter of your own. It's kind of fun :)
