20 Something

Tim has now decided to help narrate the Davis Diaries and his commentary will be in blue (hey everybody!).  I apologize for him in advance.

For the past 10 years I have been a '20-Something'.  A College Kid, Law Student, Young Professional and an awesome Wife.  With 30 I will tackle the rolls of Business Owner, Mommy, and what ever else is thrown my way.

It is fun an exciting to look back on the past 10 years and see that for the most part they were lived to their fullest.  There were good times and bad times, but looking back the experiences and memories were worth all of the trials and tribulations.  In my 20's... I made some amazing friends... and not just on Facebook!  I traveled around the world.  I got a real job. I found Mr. Right. word.  I have a family who has provided unconditional love through all of it.  And, most importantly, I accepted and began learning to follow Jesus Christ.

Here are some of the pictures of my journey:

(Yes that is Lena double fisting with Cedric Benson)

Looking for Mr. Right...

Somebody could have told me to eat a sandwich!  Dang!

The beginning of an Awesome Ski Trip where I decided to follow the lord; and a Beach shot in Ibiza Spain, on my first Euro Trip

Turning 22... and bringing home my first baby:)
She is mine now, you lost her in Rock, Paper, Scissor fair and square.

The Lake shot is from my last day living in Austin.
I cried the whole drive home.

The second picture is from the month I spent at Lake Saranac Young Life Camp on Waterfront.  This is where I found out I was going to Law School and moving back to DFW.   Emotionally it was a rough month, but one of the most beautiful places I have ever 'lived'.

And then Law School began...

I turned 23

and I decided to become a Young Life leader  :)
I am missing a chunk of photos from a computer that crashed :(  I have a back up file somewhere but imagine these pictures here:

1. Maite and I moving into our Law School House
2. Spring Break with Crilion in Paris
3. 2nd year of Law School
4.Turning 24
5. Spring Break in Puerto Rico Planning Maite's Wedding
6. Lots of Young Life fun

Anndi & I spent our second summer in Law School 'studying' at Vanderbilt in Venice. We lived in Venice during the week, and traveled in our free time.  We were lucky enough to visit Paris, Florence, Rome, Cinque Terre, The Amalfi Coast (sort of), Interlachen and Zurich.  It was definitely a Summer to Remember.

Almost as soon as I got home from Italy, I left for Puerto Rico for Maite & Eric's wedding.  Everything about it was beautiful! (except for the Italy lbs I was still carting around with me)

Tim was looking at this picture this morning and teasing about my weight.  I responded with "I know, it is the fattest I have ever been in my whole life".  He started roaring with laughter.  Has she not looked in a mirror and seen a her awesome preggo gut?  I guess I walked into that one

25 brought my last spring break ever.
Crilion and I went to Grenada to visit Brittany.  Awesome Island.  We had a week full of jumping waterfalls, hiking through rain forest, laying on the beach, and attending local island events like Fish Friday.  I'm sure Brittany would tell you going to Vet School here was quite an experience!

Everyone will tell you it is tough being a student... until they aren't anymore.  Law School brought a lot of great memories, but more importantly great friends.  Here are Anndi, Christie and I on our way to Graduate.

And my Family at our Graduation Party
(Reata Rooftop, best place ever!)

After graduation, I spent the summer going to 13 weddings and studying for the Bar Exam.  Although most of my friends were finding and settling down with Mr. Right, I still couldn't seem to find him.
 (a picture from 1 of the 13)
(I caught the garder and she caught the boquet)

Following Graduation, all the weddings, and the Bar Exam I had some time to kill.  Luckily my parents are AWESOME and decided to send my brothers and I on a backpacking trip.  Unfortunately Cril went early, and got sick, so most of the trip was just Billy and I.  We went to Zurich, Interlachen, Vienna, Prague, Florence, Pisa, Cinque Terre, Niece, Monaco, Paris and back to Zurich.  Everyone should do the backpacking/hostel thing.  It is unforgettable experience.

Here we are driving through Switzerland
jamming out to some David Hasslehoff:

When we got back, the real world began.
I passed the Bar! and got Sworn in.
I'm Official (watch out!)
That is one handsome fella!

Tim tricked me into our first date... yeah, so
and I decided later that night I could marry him.
Now that's what you call having Game!!!

I got my first job.  This is from our Christmas Party, and pretty much sums up the whole experience.

I learned that Alumni get nose bleed Football Tickets while students sit front row.
(see the picture from 20)

And turned 26.

That Winter Tim and I went skiing with his Denver Friends :)

Then to Annapolis in the Summer for Christie & Nate's wedding

And Hawaii in the Fall for the Fidelibus Wedding.

27. (the best year yet)

We got ENGAGED!
(my best painting ever)

I had a Bachelorette Party

We got MARRIED
best decision of my life, other than accepting Jesus.  it was the easiest one!

and went on our Honeymoon ...
Excellence resort in Playa Mujeres is the bomb.
Go there!  Right now!

Then resumed life as normal :)
I Turned 28, and in this picture Sharon is turning 29 :)
We went to Destin ...

Jenny & I got decked out for Gaga. (and you have disliked her every day since... Gaga that is, not Jenny)
We went to California for Adam and Vanessa's Wedding
(they are awesome, Adam is my cousin that we have reconneted with)

Tim Turned 29 (photoblasters!)
 and we celebrated 1 year!
Year #2 brought lots of date nights with Bara
(as well as their engagement & wedding!)
I remember their fake engagement at our house, but don't remember their wedding... hmmm
and a Fun Filled Davis Thanksgiving in Austin.
damn those people are tall!!!  ... well most of them

I turned 29 and celebrated with some of my favorite girls in Loveland!
(it looks like we are skipping the trip this year due to 2 babies, but we must do it again!)

In 2011 we bought a boat!
(the infamous boat for a baby deal)
Went back to Destin (for the Fight for Love)
FIGHT FOR LOVE!!!!!!!

Spent tons of weekends on the Lake
1) My shorts are hiked up, they are not really that short.
2) Yes I am aware my thighs are pale, thanks for asking.

and a week in St. Martin!  great trip!

Tim turned 30!  speechless

and I spent tons of time with this Awesome group of Girls!

And last but not least, we found out Lincoln will be here soon!

10 years is a long time!  The pictures posted are a fraction of the pictures I have.  When I look back at everything that happened in my 20's I can only say that I hope my 30's have just as much to offer!  It seems only fitting that I celebrate my last night in my 20's (Valentines) at Z'Tejas... it brought so many good times.  I can't wait!  Then Tim and I will head back to Dallas and welcome the Big 3-0!
