Monday I went back to work. Fun. Fun. Monday night was spent with Liz, Laura and this guy:
Tim is usually a fan of the show, but because he was unavailable he 'let' me watch it with the ladies. We usually bet on the show by both choosing a go home and a stay. Tim called Chantal O as his all time stay several weeks ago, so I have gained some loyalty toward Emily. After talking to Liz, and hearing all the background info she knew about the 'girls', I decided to do some research of my own. (Like every other good Attorney does in the middle of the day at work)
For some crazy reason I have become very attached to Emily and her story. I have to keep reminding myself that I do not know her, Ricky Hendrick, or any of their family, but I can not stop thinking about it. I am really depressed over it. How RIDICULOUS am I? Seriously, to the point where I have been praying about it for two days now. Anyway, everyone say a little prayer for Emily and the people involved in her life, and for me, because some how I have managed to emotionally throw myself in the middle of it. As a side note, Emily is definitely my favorite contestant, but I am concerned for her and any actual chance of a long term relationship with Brad. She should not be put through any more heart ache!
Moving on. Tuesday was a beautiful day and I decided to take Lexi to try out a new dog park after work. She loved it. It was much closer to our house and much nicer than White Rock. I now feel really bad that we have lived in North Dallas for over a year and this is the first time I took her. Check out Lexi and some of her new friends:
I am sure we will be back soon!
Today took me on an exciting adventure to Venus, Texas. You can imagine what was running through my mind when I drove up to this:
I should probably take the opportunity now to apologize to the City of Venus for all of the smack talking I have done over the past couple weeks. Although the officer Tim and I encountered a month ago was a huge jerk, your City Attorney is pretty cool. Thank you Mr. Attorney for telling me how the cop went out of his way to provide you extra evidence on this one, then smiling and dismissing the ticket for lack of evidence. I have no idea why you decided to randomly be so nice to me, but I will take it. Now if the attorneys on Tim's 7 other tickets can only be so cool...
This week has been nicely paced. A little laid back, getting back into the routine of every day life. Although I have gone back to work, I am still not working out. Today Lex & I walked a mile, so maybe a couple tomorrow and boot camp by Friday! We will see where the end of the week takes me. As long as it is off the couch, I am good.
