Changes

1) The weather!  Has anyone walked outside this morning?  I am usually a lover of the Texas Summer Heat, but this year has been CRAZY.  There is definitely a difference in 103 and 114.  Needless to say, I am excited for fall and excited for some outside activities today!

2) To go along with the change in the weather I also decided to change my blog template.  I don't know much about the whole blogging thing, but the background seems to be easy enough.  It was probably time to get rid of the 'I Love Spring'.  This one should work year round.

3) Last week we finally got new neighbors next door.  I have not gotten to meet them yet, but Tim did briefly.  I was ambitious Saturday morning and attempted to make baked goods to take over.  Lessons: Cake Balls take forever! and don't put fruit on cookies that you are not taking over immediately.  My cake balls and fruit cookies have now been in my fridge for 2 1/2 days and are not looking so great.  I attempted to deliver them yesterday, but the neighbors were gone, so I guess I may have to eat them myself :) What should I make for round 2 of meet the neighbors?

4) Most Holidays in the Davis house are spent out of town.  This Labor Day we stayed home.  I am trying to learn to sleep in and be content at the house.  It is foreign to me.  We have had some adventures, but for the most time we have been low key.  Here is a look at where we have spent most of our weekends: 

4th of July in Granbury as usual.  Here is a look at the fruit cookie I tried to re-create this weekend.

Tim's parents joined us for the fist time this year.  This is their first time out on our boat :)

A few weeks after the 4th, we headed down to Greune for our annual float trip.  Ray Wylie Hubbard was playing that night and we got to meet him. 

Next weekend I will be traveling back down to Greune to celebrate the Beautiful Bride below.  This is Ashley and I at her engagement party in Mineral Wells.  

I'm already super excited for Ashley & Steve's Wedding Weekend! 

Tim's 30th Birthday is quickly approaching. (9 days to be exact) Hopefully many of you got invites in the mail this week :)  His first party idea came from Sam's Birthday.  Tim was a little disappointed Pump it Up does not do Adult Parties.  He had a great time pretending to be a kid at hers.

Instead, we will be Kicking it 80's style.  Can't wait to see all of the outfits and dance the night away!
