Nac & NYC

Last week we were all over the place.  Jenny ended up going into labor a day early so Tim, Jill and I headed down to Nac.  Meet Collins!

Yes, that is her real hair!  Such a cute little baby and Cam was very excited to be a big sister.

Things are about to get crazy around here, so I am really glad we got to go meet her so soon.  Everyone is super excited she is finally here! (especially Jenny)  In just a few (hopefully short) months Collins and Campbell will have their first cousin to play with :) I can't wait to see the three of them together.

Last weekend Tim and I took off on my 30th Birthday Trip to NYC. It had been way to long since I had been up there.  We started out the trip by heading out to Garden City to hang out with Christie, Nate and Andy.  I love this picture :)

Our original plan was to have a quite night in, but it ended up being Marty (Christie's Brother in Law) 's Birthday, so Christie, Tim and I ventured out to The City to meet up with Nate and the rest of the party.  We went to a cool place that had a jockey theme.  We ate at a table that looked like a train car and there were horses everywhere.

Most of the resturant/club was pretty normal, but then we came across this picture.  I was obviously unaware Tim was taking this. Mature. Best picture I have ever taken.

The next morning we hung out with Christie for a while, then went to The City for Jimmy Fallon.  (Thanks Dan for the Awesome tickets)  Camera's were not allowed in the studio, but this was right before the show.

After the show we were killing time until Lena and Jason arrived, so we walked over to Times Square.  To my suprise Tim agreed to go in a 5 story Forever 21 with me.  I went to my happy place, as it was pretty much the worst store ever.  5 floors?  Really?  Yay for it being a Birthday Trip :) Husband of the Year.

When Lena and Jason arrived and we went out to Stanton Social.  The bartender there made one of the best 'virgin' drinks I have had yet.  I'm not sure what it was, but Peach Mojito is my best guess?

The next morning we set out to see The City.

My first NYC trip was summer of 2002, right after 9/11.  I have seen ground Zero a few times, but this was the first time I saw any substantial re-building.  Pretty impressive :)

Jason and Lena have been dating for a while, but because we live so far apart, this was our first time to hang out with him.  I would say we all travel well together.  We must do this again :)

Here are the boys during a pit stop.

After warming up we braved it out to Battery Park to see the Statue of Liberty.

Then to Katz's Deli.  Jason's one wish for the weekend was to have a Pastrami Sandwhich from a New York Deli.  I would say this one was pretty authentic.

Awesome pastrami on rye.  Tasted pretty good the 2nd time as I got sick at the hotel.  Chunky.

After lunch we went back to' the hotel and got rested up for Avenue Q.  Super funny (but a little bit dirtier than expected)  Song called "Everyone's a little bit Racist" and the Bad Idea Bears were pretty stinkin funny.

Normal people head over to the bar after a show, but when you are Preg-o you find the next best thing :)

The line was long, but it was worth the wait. Yum!

Sunday the Stomach troubles set in.  Probably because our vacation included eating, eating and a little more eating.  That morning Tim let his stomach settle while Lena, Jason and I went to breakfast and explored Central Park.

Tim started feeling a little better and met us at FAO Schwarz.

Apparently we missed the memo that there was a line, and you are not allowed to take your own pictures on the BIG Piano.  Oh well.  I'm 30.  I think I can take those kids :)

We spent the rest of the afternoon exploring 5th Ave before Lena and Jason had to head back to Phili.  Wish the trip would have been longer!

By that night I was feeling the stomach issues, but it was our last night, and no New York trip is complete without a trip to Carmines.  Here we are enjoying the biggest and best Chicken Parm ever.  My stomach was only up for about 4 bites, but at least Lincoln got to try it :)

Our last stop was the STRONGLY recomended Max Brenner.  Thank God there is not one in Dallas!  Oh my Chocolate!

I had the Chocloate Bannana Toffe Crepe, and Tim had Berry Waffles with Chocolate.  Delicious!

When leaving Max Brenner we ran into this statute.  Probably one of the coolest pieces of art we saw :)

New York was a wonderful time to get away and catch up with friends.  Tim and I had a great time, but we were ready to get home to see this face :)

Lexi stayed with Bara, and I know she had a great time, but we were definately ready to get her back!  What is it going to be like when Lincoln gets here???
